Denver USBOXLA Fall High School League

Box lacrosse is the best way for players to learn how to play the game. There are fewer players at one time, they get more touches on the ball, the walls keep the ball in play, they develop their stick skills better in tighter spaces and it is fun to play! This is why you see so many Canadian players dominating the college ranks these days. They grew up playing mostly box lacrosse and it shows through their superior skill sets.

The first hour of the league will be instructional to further develop individual skills and create synchronicity between the players competing in the box league.  This will help improve the understanding of the box game and result in a more competitive and effective box experience. The second hour will be games, where teams will be divided evenly to compete against one another and apply the lessons learned from the instructional period. This format allows for a two hour high tempo experience of lacrosse where learning the skills and the techniques of the box game are not lost on each player.  The second hour will allow these players to understand how the skills training benefits their game by applying what they learn and understanding how to play as a unit inside the box.

Parents and players will be amazed how much their game improves through playing box lacrosse! Many of our Denver Elite players who have participated in our box programs have benefited immensely from them. This is a huge opportunity for us to grow box lacrosse in Colorado and be a model for lacrosse in the United States, through the mixing of both field and box lacrosse curriculums.
