DENVER, CO – LXTC is proud to announce that coach Kenny Crowley will keep rolling along, as they say in the Army, coming on board on a full time basis. Crowley played long stick midfield for the University of Denver and was drafted in the inaugural MLL draft in 2001 by the Boston Cannons before joining the United States Army. Crowley began coaching with LXTC in the fall of 2013 when he assumed responsibility for the Denver Elite U15 team.
Crowley is a prime candidate to take on this leadership role with LXTC. On the subject of his hire Crowley stated:
“I couldn’t be more excited, and clear, about teaming up with Coach Tierney and his team in our pursuit of growing student-athletes into strong men through teaching, coaching, and mentoring the lacrosse players committed to Lacrosse Training Center (LXTC).
As I previously stated, nothing has shaped me more as a coach than my 20 years of lacrosse experience and my 11 years of military service. Through my journey, I’ve learned the effectiveness of values-based leadership. Values such as integrity, respect, humility, self-reflection and a balanced perspective all encourage the evolution of a student-athlete’s potential to excel both as an individual and as a member of a team. It is my goal to help our young student-athletes understand these positive values as we compete as a team and mature on the lacrosse field together.”
As a full time coach with LXTC, Crowley will be responsible for coaching at camps, clinics, and tournaments with all teams at all levels. He will also take an active role in evolving and enhancing the programs LXTC offers by developing and expanding the current and future models of LXTC operations, leading individual skill programs, business development through marketing and sales, and administrative support.
Crowley joins an already impressive stable of coaching talent at LXTC. His previous lacrosse experience and his leadership cache make him an optimal choice for LXTC as it looks to grow and to continue to offer the best lacrosse experience along the Front Range.
LXTC is lacrosse company based in Denver, Colorado run by six-time national champion, and current University of Denver coach Bill Tierney; stand-out NCAA, MLL, and NLL attackman, and current University of Denver associate head coach Matt Brown; and NCAA, MLL, and FIL championship winning goalie Trevor Tierney. LXTC is committed to developing players to perform at the next level, both on and off the lacrosse field.
